Condition: The Plant site area

Working hours from 8:00 to 17:00 for 5 days in a week (Monday to Friday)

Job requirements:

• Bachelor or higher degree in related area (Law, Contract Management);
• Minimum 5 years of experience in related position;
• Azerbaijani and professional knowledge of English is a must (Russian and French is an asset).
• Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs;
• Knowledge of local and international legislation on contract law;
• Past experience of working with local courts and other required state bodies.

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring that CNIM business in Azerbaijan complies with AR legal requirements together with CNIM’s commercial policies and procedures and that business is undertaken in a commercially prudent manner.

Key Tasks:

• Protects the reputation and interests of the company at all times;
• Understands and reacts to customer’s needs;
• Ensures compliance with all group policies and procedures;
• Ensures compliance with all relevant Azerbaijani legislation;
• Ensures compliance with all statutory, client and company requirements;
• Manages of all external and internal supplier contracts;
• Provides expert guidance for the contractual aspect of projects as and when required;
• Leads the creation and introduction of CNIM policies and procedures for CNIM Azerbaijan;
• Provides legal guidance to all other departments of CNIM Azerbaijan;
• Development, management and ownership of company risk register;
• Responsibility for all daily statutory requirements e.g. board resolutions, shareholder meetings, liaison individuals and companies representing CNIM Azerbaijan with Ministries impacting on CNIM Azerbaijan and client legal interface.;
• Ensures and manages the commercial (legal and project cost) aspects of any tenders and proposals managed by CNIM AZ;
• Manages with external and internal CNIM advisors all current open legal issues;
• Ensures that the preparation of Tenders and proposals is undertaken in accordance with CNIM policies and procedures;
• Ensures that Contracts entered into by the country are in line with CNIM contracting principles and obtaining approval to depart from these principles where necessary;
• Ensures that subcontractors are engaged via appropriate contractual arrangements with back to back provisions where appropriate and the necessary insurances are in place;
• Ensures that CNIM AZ is using the current version of CNIM Purchase Order terms and conditions;
• Ensures compliance with CNIM claims policy and seeking appropriate approval on claims strategy in respect of claims both against the business and by the business. 
• Ensures the implementation of CNIM risk management policy in the preparation of Tenders and in the execution of Projects;
• Ensures compliance with CNIM policy regards Bonds and Guarantees;
• Seeks approval through CNIM Environment management team submit Tenders or otherwise offer to provide Bank and Performance Guarantees, Letters of Credit, Parent and Ultimate Parent Company Guarantees;
• Liaise with CNIM SA Secretarial Department for the timely issue of bonds and guarantees;
• Ensures provision of sufficient numbers of appropriately qualified staff to address corporate requirements and the specific projects;

• Reports to Finance and Administration Director
