Drilling Engineer

Position Summary

The Drilling Engineer is responsible for designing, preparing and planning drilling programs according to client’s demands, in compliance with the contractual requirements and SOCAR-AQS LLC standards and policies. He follows the execution of the drilling program and is responsible for all technical changes and recommendations made during the drilling process. He is also responsible for all end of well reports, and attends critical operations at the wellsite, as necessary.

Required general qualifications of the candidate:

• At least five years of experience in relevant area;
• Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering is required;
• Practical knowledge in the design and execution of well programs for vertical, directional, horizontal, re-entry  wells, both development and exploration;
• Ambition to succeed;
• Ability to learn quickly and develop continuously;
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment;
• Excellent problem solving capabilities;
• Multilingual (Azeri, English, Russian);
• Software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook).
