Are you our new Cooperation field officer in Barda?

The ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and qualified candidate   for the position of Cooperation Field Officer in Barda to fulfil this new position as soon as possible.

The overall responsibilities attached to this new position will include:

 Contributes to implementing the operational partnership between the ICRC and the AzRCS (Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society) by working closely with ICRC colleagues from various departments and AzRCS volunteers, mainly in an independent manner.
 Supports AzRCS Branches in the frontline and coaches volunteers.
 Contributes in the implementation and follow-up of projects (within the department)
 Maintains contacts with external interlocutors such as authorities at municipal level, local Red Crescent Branches, suppliers, etc.
 Makes written reporting on the activities
 Translates non-institutional documents
 Collects and compiles information according to ICRC established procedures

Non-exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities:

• Supports AzRCS Branches in the area of responsibility of Barda Sub Delegation in terms of capacity building and operational partnership within the framework of the Cooperation department.
• Keeps regular contact and visit with concerned AzRCS branches and updates the supervisors on important issues related to the branch management and operational activities.
• Extends support to all ICRC departments to implement operational partnership projects with the AzRCS and training the Emergency Mobile Volunteer Team per ICRC expertise. Participates in the planning and follow up of operational partnerships in Barda SD.
•  Supervises / monitors administrative and logistical tasks of the AzRCS for joint activities with the ICRC and makes sure to be implemented according to ICRC administrative and financial rules.
• Manages Coop filing system at Barda level for institutional record.
• Coordinates and manages the correspondence, keeping appropriate records of such communications.
• Exchanges Cooperation related information with all departments within the ICRC Sub Delegation.
• Organizes the Coop Department’s seminars, meetings and workshops, as well as trainings of other departments in relation to the AzRCS activities planned in the area of responsibility of Barda sub delegation.
• Organizes proper briefing to new staff member/visitor regarding the COOP activities and AzRCS.
• Organize Coop events in the area of responsibility of the Sub delegation in consultation with the direct supervisor, relevant Heads of the departments and Cooperation Coordinator in Baku


• Secondary School or college
• 2years work experience in a similar field of activity
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English
• Good computer knowledge
• Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures
• Good communication skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Rigor, method and analytical  skills

This is a full-time position with a duty station in Barda.
