Position Summary

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for leading, motivating and developing an effective sales representative team in the business unit. In addition, the role will collaborate with Local account managers to support a cohesive strategic vision that drives sales growth and profitability. Guide the sales team in driving both core and new business opportunities with current and potential customers. Leverage by selling our comprehensive portfolio of products that align with client needs.

Accountabilities

• Manage the performance of a team of highly effective sales representatives.
• Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate actions to correct when necessary
• Provide supervision through field sales visits, observations and measurements of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.
• Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of sales team. Supporting our training roadmap will be critical to creating a best in class sales team.
• Ensure sales representatives are aligned with company go to market strategies.
• Define clear tactical goals for sales team that deliver direction for planning, focusing and prioritizing territories.
• Partner with , Directors/Managers, Customer Service and Operations on assistance with demand forecast and production capacity.
• Implement goals and action plans that define the metrics of sales and gross profitability targets for Perishable sales team in alignment with Sales and Marketing Executive Officer.
• Monitor cold calls, prospect list, leads and follow up.
• Establish key objectives that focus on the importance of driving core and new business opportunities with current and potential customers.
• Customer focus and relationship building.
• Drives a culture that supports our customer needs while establishing meaningful relationships.
• Ensure communication of customer needs are delivered internally to establish best in class solutions that drive our value proposition.
• Collaborates with Sales and Marketing Executive, Project Management Office and Technical Office that assist our Operations team with customer demand forecast and production capacity.
• Communicates both internal and external challenges effectively that assists the organization in addressing the problem or issues.
• Ensures that there is sufficient supply and demand of our goods and services.
• Leads the effort of all internal communication back to the team from forecast and demand meetings with Operations.
• Support and assist Sales and Marketing Executive with annual and 3 - year strategic planning process.
• Work collaboratively with Sales and Marketing Executive to align on strategic initiatives that maximize the best go to market strategy for the business unit.

General Responsibilities

• Establish effective relationships and collaboration with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Operations, Human Capital, Quality Management, Customer Service and other Business Units.)
• Collaborate with other Heads of divisions in Department to discuss best practice adaptations in the field.
• Attend tradeshows, seminars and customer meetings as appropriate.
• Keep current and up to date of company’s product/services, economic indicators, changing trends and its competitors.
• Ensures team are living and are aligned with our STP LLC values.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
• Maintains awareness of all customer Accounts Receivable past 60 days.

Qualifications

• BA / BS degree required.
• Minimum 5 years sales management, retail, supply chain, manufacturing and/or B2B selling.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated business acumen.
• Ability to work under pressure and still deliver results.
• Exceptional negotiation skills.
• Resilience, tenacity, & diplomacy.
• Strong sales skills: relationship-building, presentations, influencing skills.
