Job Description

• Carry out all necessary petrophysical work to enable the team to meet the focus. As progress is made towards delivering the production plateau, team focus will gradually shift towards maintaining/extending/increasing plateau and maximising economic recovery
• Work closely with other team members to plan and execute appropriate data gathering during the drilling and testing campaign (wireline logs - both open and cased hole, image logs, cores)
• Provide necessary scope of work and ensure optimum processing and interpretation with relevant external contractors QC of logging programmes including cement bond logs
• Provide high quality petrophysical analysis in a timely fashion during the drilling campaign using wireline logs and all other appropriate data
• Preparation and supervision of routine and special core analysis programmes, including technical input to any tendering and contracting process in conjunction with other team members
• Be conversant with geomechanics studies and work with other team members and external specialists as necessary to utilise existing geomechanics data into wellbore stability studies and reservoir stimulation planning, along with other team members, plan and supervise additional geomechanics data acquisition and studies as necessary
• Provide support to other disciplines in the building of static and dynamic reservoir models (PETREL/ECLIPSE) through the integration of all petrophysical data in close cooperation with the geologist and reservoir engineer
• Maintain quality standards and timeframes

Skills & Experience

• Relevant first degree (Bachelors) and preferably a Masters degree
• Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in a similar role
• Previous experience of working on gas field developments is considered highly advantageous
• Experience in TECHLOG software is required
• Experience in log and core analysis is required
• A knowledge of Geomechanics is highly desirable
• Fluent written and spoken English language skills are highly advantageous
