Position: CFO(Chief Financial Officer)


• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related. Master's degree preferred.
• Professional accreditation, such as a certified public accountant (CPA) preferred. Certified management accountant (CMA) accreditation a bonus.
• 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience within the manufacturing, construction or agricultural industry, including a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
• Experience managing relationships with banking and financial institutions in addition to sourcing alternative forms of capital preferred.
• Experience presenting financial reports to a dynamic and engaged board

Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze, refine and forecast financial data in real time and on a periodic basis throughout each fiscal year, including revenue based on capital and operating budgets and strategic plans.
• Recommend strategic and operational optimization plans based upon financial data.
• Lead the planning, coordination and implementation of the annual capital and operating budget process in collaboration with other department leaders.
• Partner with senior management in the development and execution of strategic business and operational plans

Financial Monitoring

• Refine existing key performance indicators and financial ratios for measuring financial performance of the company and its component parts.
• Develop a standing reporting process and report weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually on key financial data.


• Manage accounting staff and processes.


• Co-manage banking activities and develop financing alternatives.
• Optimize existing banking portfolio and identify new banking relationships and debt strategies for development.
• Ensure effective management of liquidity and all funding sources to secure most favorable terms when borrowing is required.


• Collaborate with other department leaders on risk management strategies.
• Communicate expectations, provide coaching and feedback, monitor and manage performance and provide development opportunities for direct reports and other team members.

Qualifications and Skills

• BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/ACCA highly desirable.
• 5+ years in progressively responsible leadership roles.
• Background in production agricultural operations highly desirable.
• Proficient with risk management strategies and focused on value creation.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization with staff at remote locations.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
