The Receptionist is responsible for operating ADA University switchboard and multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls, direct callers to appropriate personnel and complete a variety of administrative duties.


• Operates telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information and taking messages as needed;
• Relays incoming and outgoing calls in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner;
• Greets and registers all visitors and direct them to the proper department or person;
• Provides information and answer questions about the company such as location of departments or offices,
• Distributes mail, faxes, packages and special deliveries;
• Creates and maintains the central reservation system for conference rooms;
• Assists employees with general administrative requests, appropriate business related errands or other special projects;
• Files and maintains electronic and paper records;
• Keeps switchboard area clean and neat at all times;
• Demonstrates professional and courteous demeanor and attitude during all interactions with employees, guests and other external contacts;
• Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.


• A University degree;
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Fluency in Azerbaijani, English and Russian both writing and speaking;
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer relations skills;
• Must be computer literate with experience on Microsoft Office – Word and Excel; 
• Good knowledge of the principles of office management practices and procedures;
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task required;
• Ability to develop and maintain and engage in positive relationships with people from various backgrounds;
• Ability to organize, prioritize and work under pressure;
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
