The Branch office of ONGC Videsh Limited, Baku, Azerbaijan invites applications for filling up the post of Secretary cum Interpreter.

ONGC Videsh Limited is the wholly owned subsidiary and overseas arm of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), the flagship national oil company (NOC) of India.

ONGC Videsh holds a participating interest in ACG oil fields in the Azerbaijan Sector of Caspian Sea and the BTC pipeline.

The Branch office of ONGC Videsh in Azerbaijan at Baku invites applications for filling up the post of Secretary cum Interpreter against maternity vacancy of the current employee.

This is currently a fixed term vacancy till 30th Oct 2019.

Qualifications, skill sets, experience and broad job description:


o University degree.
o Proficiency in languages English and Azeri. Working level knowledge of Russian will be advantageous. English language certification preferred.

Required skill set:

o Good overall knowledge of English with fluency in verbal and written English communication.
o Good PC proficiency, strong skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
o Ability to translate documents and interpret from English to Azeri and vice versa.
o Basic understanding of routine office establishment accounting, office related banking transactions.
o Office record keeping.

Experience:  Combination of secretarial and office administrative support /   interpreter with office support functions in an English speaking/ usage environment.

Broad Job Description

o Office administration including coordination of correspondence, communication, and logistics, upkeep and tracking of various contracts /agreements required for running of office management and related record keeping.
o Interpretation assistance (Azeri-English-Azeri) to Country Manager and visiting ONGC Videsh officers in meetings. 
o Overseeing and ensuring necessary office supplies and services in timely manner.
o Office reception (receiving visitors, attending phone calls, etc), arrangement, coordination of meetings, travels and other office events.
o Preparation of office administration reports including establishment expense reports, payments received, payments made and preparing inputs for cash calls.
o Maintenance of office equipment, files, records, maintenance of office Assets, Asset records etc.
o Visa arrangements, Immigration registration and hotel bookings for visiting officers.
o Typing and sending out letters, reports, faxes, mails, courier etc as required.
