Job Position :  HSE Coordinator

Function

Plans, initiates and coordinates  HSE  activities, HSE activity application and maintenance of  HSE Project, BOS Shelf  requirements and subcontractor HSE requirements  throughout  Project execution including fabrication , construction and commissioning  processes

Reporting Lines and Interactions

• Reports to the HSE Manager  
• Monitors /supervises HSE  Administration staff 
• Key interactions with the HSE personnel  ,construction  supervision, maintenance  supervision ,  commissioning personnel ,  QA personnel ,Subcontractors  and  Client  personnel

Responsibilities

- Understand and comply with BOS Shelf QHSE System & Policies.
- Promoting a professional image of the company and themselves at all times
- Promote safe working practices ,  promote injury prevention activities and lead by example
- Develop and update HSE procedures to meet set requirements of BOS Shelf, the Project technical scope of work and certification standard requirements and facilitate implementation with the site team.
- Coordinate and monitoring implementation of the Company/ Project  HSE Management System with respect to Company, Client and project standards, procedures, policies and related activities.
- Facilitate, compile and monitor implementation of Project HSE Assurance plans, procedures specific to the project in accordance with Client, Project and in-house requirements
- Provide practical interpretation of standards, procedures and guidelines Provide HSE expertise, guidance, support, and education to various departmental personnel. Facilitate implementation with the site team
- Identify, prioritize and monitor significant HSE aspects and develop HSE targets and objectives related to HSE activities.
- Monitor methods for achieving targets and objectives.
- Monitoring, measuring and reporting of BOS Shelf’s HSE compliance to Client , Project and in house requirements and determination of trends
- Develop, review and coordinate Project Risk Assessments. Facilitate and/or participate in the risk assessments process, task risk assessment and ensure agreed actions are resolved in a timely manner and risk assessments made available.
- Develop a submission schedule for Subcontractors. Review and approval of Subcontractors HSE Assurance plans, procedures, risk assessments .and documents.   Review and monitor subcontractors’ application of HSE requirements relative to their site activities and ensure all follow ups are carried out for any issues or required  remedial actions
- Coordinate Lessons learned within the Company personnel  and with Subcontractors
- Facilitate, monitor and coordinate implementation of Management and  Project HSE Programs , HSE  Assurance Plans, HSE improvement plans and activities
- Chair weekly HSE meetings and produce accurate minutes
- Coordinate Senior HSE Administrator Coordination and compilation of weekly and monthly reports and Key Performance Indicators. - Monitoring/updating of action tracking systems such that mitigation measures are implemented accordingly. Monitor the implementation and close out all Health, Safety and Environmental protection measures. Monitor HSE tracking registers until actions effectively closed out < Monitor compilation of weekly and Monthly reports , Key Performance Indicators and action tracking registers
- Organizing, coordinating and reporting of emergency response exercises.
- Facilitate analysis of trends and provide resultant reports 

Experience

Work experience: 3-5 years at a similar or  relevant position

Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of HSE management Systems and  application of Project HSE Management Systems
Project  HSE Coordination
Subcontractor Management
HSE Analysis techniques  

Qualifications

Higher technical education  with an emphasis on HSE
Appropriate HSE qualifications and certification
IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications or equivalent is desirable
