QA/QC Manager (Agriculture/Food Industry)

Requirements:

•         Experience: minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
•         Language: fluency in Azerbaijani (written and spoken), good knowledge of English and Russian.
•         Computer skills: Good computer literacy (MS Office) and 1C.

Education:

         High Education (degree in a similar field plus relevant experience in agriculture/food production or other food-related industry ).

Master's degree in one of the following is preferred:

-          food science or food industry management,
-          microbiology, medicine,
-          chemistry,
-          physics or mathematics,
-          business administration,
-          process/production engineering,
-          agricultural/food economics

Required Skills and Experience

•         Agriculture/Food QA/QC Manager must be knowledgeable about all agriculture/food safety standards that are customary within the food industry and mandated by regulations.

-          Experience in agriculture/food industries is preferred;
-          Must be able to travel and lift up to 25 kg.

Job Description:

Agriculture/Food QA/QC Manager is responsible for managing quality and safety standards of food products. Food quality assurance managers must be knowledge about quality standards, government regulations for the food industry, safety procedures, and managerial tactics.

Agriculture/Food QA/QC Manager is reporting to Director and is responsible for the following:

-          Oversee growing, manufacturing and production processes;
-          Ensure that food products meet standards set by both the Company and Regulatory Authorities;
-          Compose Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other guidance documents, and compile method tech transfer protocols
-          Develop and review quality and safety policies and manage audits by third-party inspectors;
-          Monitor critical control points (CCP);
-          Perform inspections on products, equipment and machinery;
-          Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced;
-          Correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation;
-          Train QA/QC employees;
-          Ensure Employees are following all Food Safety practices;
-          Issue disciplinary action when required;
-          Translate insights into actions to support company initiatives;
-          Support business goals, understand customer expectations on to-be manufactured product;
-          Define and follow up on yearly targets and objectives;
-          Assist in preparation of quotes and tender proposals;
-          Assist in preparation of company presentations;
-          Provide industry benchmarks;
-          Any other duties which may be reasonably required by his/her Line Manager.

As part of daily duties, Agriculture/Food QA/QC Manager should do the following:

-          Meet with other supervisors and inspect facilities for compliance with standards;
-          Determine methods to resolve any issues that arise.
-          Review customer feedback and respond to any complaints.
-          Prepare reports on food quality status to relay to owners and upper-level management; keep records of all tests and inspections that have been conducted.
