Main Duties

• Monitor Front Office personnel to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition.
• Supervise the Front Office team to ensure optimum occupancy and average room rate in order to maximise revenue.
• Ensure priority members, known repeat guests and other VIPs receive appropriate levels of attention and recognition, assisting with meet and greet and supervising room allocation where necessary.
• Promote intra-hotel sales and in-house facilities in liaison with marketing dept.
• Overseeing guest services/ relations departments
• Provides lateral service to other departments if/when needed
• Work in partnership with Reservations, Sales & Housekeeping Departments to ensure guest’s needs are determined and met in regard to room requirements.
• Develop relationships with clients, return guests, group contacts, etc. to provide maximum personalised guest service
• Maintain and promote inter-departmental relationships to ensure a consistently seamless customer experience.
• Schedule and conduct routine inspections of areas under FOM responsibility
• Maintain up to date knowledge of system recovery procedures
• Provide analysis and interpretation of departmental computer reports, compiling statistics and reports where necessary.
• Approve upgrades and special amenities.
• Conduct comprehensive monthly departmental meetings.
• Oversee work schedule for sectional managers & colleagues ensuring adequate coverage in line with projected occupancy and guest movement at all times
• Develop and implement initiatives to further enhance levels of service and guest care within the Front Office depts
• Perform any other duties that management may reasonably require. Actively promote an awareness of customer requirement


• University degree from a Hospitality related program preferred.
• Minimum 3 years work experience as a Front Office manager in 5-star Hotel.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS or Fidelio
• Good command of the English, Russian and Azerbaijani language is essential, both written and verbal.
• Responsible for a cash float throughout your shift and ensuring all floats balance correctly at the end of shift.
• Handling guest complaints at highest service levels
• Dealing with high profile guests
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Personable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Must be able to work shifts - days, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays
• Leadership experience in large teams
