Azerbaijan Tourist Guides Association (ATGA) is a public union that unites all tourist guides working within the Republic of Azerbaijan. Our core tasks include the protection of guides` legal status and provide them with attestationtraining in order to improve the qualification. We stand on international standards, declared by World Federation of Tourist Guides Association. In this way we make an important contribution to the competitiveness of the improvement of professional experience of guides.

Currently we are looking for experienced Project Coordinator (Layihə koordinatoru) to join our Azerbaijan Tourist Guides Association Team. We value creativity, initiative and a work environment that promotes cooperative effort.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Provides expertise and knowledge of the destination (geography, history, culture and tourism potential);
• Formulates and leads realistic yet creative initiatives (thematic routes, products that targets guides and etc.) that contribute to the mission, goals and objectives of ATGA;
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies;
• Supports local tourism industry associations to comply with international standards;
• Stays up-to-date with current industry trends locally and internationally;
• Supports in organisation of various trainings, workshops and presentations held by ATGA;
• Drafts and submits project documents related to ATGA;
• Provides official replies to received letters;
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience of tourist guiding;
• Strong knowledge of the destination (geography, history, culture and tourism potential);
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social-Humanitarian field is preferred;
• Having a well-established network with tourist guide industry is preferred;
• Ability to work overtime when necessary to complete time-sensitive projects;
• Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously;
• Ability to travel across the destination;
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and negotiation skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent Azerbaijani, English and Russian verbal communication and written skills.
