Position: receptionist

The receptionist is obliged:

- To welcome guests to the hotel and to greet them friendly at all times during their stay.
- To handle properly the check-in of the guests, get the registration cards filled in.
- To attend to reassigning of rooms if necessary.
- To issue the keys in accordance with the security policies.
- To provide a proper registration of passports and visas of the guests.
- To check daily arrival list and follow-up on special request.
- To handle all guest inquiries in person or over the phone. Also to take reservations.
- To handle incoming mail and ensure delivery to rooms or to relevant departments.
- To participate in group’s check-ins whenever it has requested by the Supervisor.
- To check the guests out, issue the invoices in accordance with the cashiering policies.
- To balance credit cards Opera data with bank reports and cash Opera data with cash machines reports at the end of each shift.
- To be able to make reservations, to replace reservation clerk when necessary.
- To know the telephone courtesy, to replace telephone operator when necessary.
- To liaise closely with other sections of Front Office and other departments, e.g. Housekeeping, Sales, Engineering and F&B outlets.
- To sell hotel rooms making up selling, showing the rooms in order to increase revenue.
- To be aware of the events in the hotel and well informed about the operating hours of all the hotel outlets.
- To promote F&B and other hotel outlets.
- To maintain Front Desk and Lobby area in clean and tidy condition (i.e. ashtrays).
- To inform Shift leader or Front Office Manager about guests problems or complains.
- To inform Shift leader or Front Office Manager about all problems and questions raised at the Reception.
- To attend all compulsory trainings and meetings.
- To take part in the daily hand over, read the logbook and follow-up when necessary.
- To inform the bell staff about arrival’s groups/departure time in order to provide the luggage delivery in time.
- To receive cash and credit cards slips from F&B cashiers and to ensure the correct correspondence to the reports.
- To carry out any other instructions as required by your Supervisor/Manager.
- To be familiar with the emergency procedure.
- To promote the establishment and the maintenance of atmosphere of understanding and mutual aid among the staff and works in a team.
- To take part in creation of Hotel image. To show politeness and attentiveness to the guests & colleagues.


• Completed Bachelor Degree, (preferably with the major in the hospitality industry)
• Fluent English, Azerbaijani; Russian language is desirable
• Ability to analyze and manage multiple tasks
• Good written and verbal communication, proficiency in Office programs and Opera PMS

Working Conditions:

• 5 working days schedule (40 hours per week)
• Lunch provided in the workplace
• Uniform provided by the workplace

Salary: 500 AZN NET
