Absheron Early Production Scheme (EPS) is an early development phase to target a first gas production mid-2022.
The Full Field Development studies have started based on the promising results of EPS well ABD001.
JOCAP Joint Operating Company of Absheron Petroleum is a new Company created in March 2018, which is the Operator of
Absheron from August 2018.
Absheron development reference agreements are PSA, JOA and addendums.
EPS Project technical data:
152Mscf/d of gas, 12kbbl/d of condensate; production from 1 subsea well, 34km multiphase flowline, dedicated new platform
installed at Oil Rocks field (operated by SOCAR); WHSIP = 555bar, WHFP = 380bar.


The job holder works with the Installation Methods Engineer and Installation Project Engineer to ensure Cotractor operation
team readiness for the Installation of the Oil Rocks Receiving Facilities.

He provides marine advice to the Installation Method Engineer and RSES/Installation Lead to ensure safe and efficient planning and
execution of all Loadout and Installation activities in line with Company objectives.

He assist Installation Methods Engineer to ensure vessels are properly assessed, maintained and suitable for the proposed works.

He ensure that the marine operations are planned and executed in accordance with project standards.
The job holder is accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements, to the Company
Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and for implementing and controlling these rules and requirements within his area of responsibility. He shall respect the JOCAP Code of Conduct and Maintain ethical culture at the workplace.
 Provide Marine advise and input into Marine Work scopes
 Assist in planning vessels requirements
 Assist in assessing vessels suitability for work scopes in accordance with project and regional marine standards
 Monitor and record DBA crane barge readiness and mobilization progress, including procurement, engineering and mobilization and identify holding points
 Prepare internal readiness schedule
 Participate in vessels assurance tasks
 Monitor vessels performance and conformance to ensure that all relevant requirements are in compliance with Company procedures and practices, Classification Society and State Marine Administration requirements, ASMA
 Participate in Risk workshops and assess the suitability of mitigation measures proposed by Contractor
 Perform regular vessels visits to monitor standards
Actively participate to the review and commenting of Contractor installation engineering, procedure, and operations planning


 Comply with the Activities described within the HSE Management System
 Take reasonable care of own Health and Safety and that of Others who may be affected by their acts at work
 Know responsibilities to environmental issues in the work areas
 Each employee, at his level of responsibility, must observe all Company Rules, Procedures and instructions in the performance of his own task
As such his duties and areas of authority are:
 Follow HSE instructions given by Managers and supervisory personnel
 Assure of the safety of his work site before commencing work
 Take the necessary measures to avert immediate threat of danger
 Exercise such caution as is necessary to avoid danger to persons and installations or to avoid pollution
 Use tools, equipment and their safeguards correctly
 Use the provided means of personal protection correctly
 Leave the workplace behind correct and orderly, upon job completion – enforce the Company Clean Desk policy
 Report any anomaly, abnormal conditions and near miss to supervisor
 Participate actively in HSE meetings, safety talks, tool boxes, training sessions and drills
 Co-operate actively in the execution of the HSE plans
Authority to suspend activities when there is a potential or actual threat to human life, the installation or the environment, and notify forthwith the responsible supervisor


 At least 10 years of technical and operational experience and knowledge on similar offshore projects.
 Proven experience in vessel mobilisation for installation operation.
 Proven experience in Caspian sea offshore project.
 Proven ability in the knowledge and understanding of planning / schedules, forecasting and risk management.
 Extended capability in managing self – time management, setting priorities, creative thinking, etc..
 Extended capability in developing working relationships through effective communication.
 Fluent in English and Azerbaijani languages, Russian language recommended
