ULU Hospitality Group is a newly established, yet fast-growing company, dedicated to creating a distinct impact on the hospitality industry of Azerbaijan.

At present, the company operates 2 hotels in Qax Region and 2 restaurants in Baku.

EL Resort first five-star hotel, open since 2011 and brand new Yurd Hotel.

Zakura the first Japanese “Izakaya” style restaurant located in the city center of Baku and Novbahar Baku & Novbahar Qax authentic Restaurants, offering traditional Azerbaijani / Qax and European Cuisine.

Vacancy: FINANCE MANAGER

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable Financial Manager that will analyse every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans. The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.

Responsibilities and duties

• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, AP, AR, reconcile bank and VAT accounts
• Implement accounting standards to ensure compliance with local government and IFRS regulations in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements (i.e. taxes) and regularly assesses the financial situation (including treasury)
• Prepare financial statements/reports on timely basis for the management
• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance
• Compare and analyse financial and other operating results against established plans and targets
• Conduct internal reviews and evaluations to identify cost-reduction opportunities
• Maintain a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard company assets, improve operations and profitability and manage risks
• Perform operational/financial analysis within business units and present findings and recommendation to the management team
• Contribute with reliable forecasts and budget data to managerial decision-making on tactical (current fiscal year) and strategic (next fiscal year) matters
• Monitor and interpret cash flows and predicting future financing needs or expenditures
• Manage company’s financial resources and conduct resource planning for future needs
• Provide financial oversight, control and approval for purchasing
• Interface with local authorities to resolve any taxation issues as needed.
• Oversee the regular tax liabilities and develop effective solutions to ensure optimal tax burden
• Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
• Manage internal controls
• Provide financial expertise, guidance and direction to company employees to improve operational and financial performance
• Ensure effective communication with senior management, staff, and various functions/departments
• Create and distribute routine as well as ad hoc reports and analyses
• Execute any other relevant tasks given by the senior management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Financial Manager/Financial analyst/Financial controller
• Experience in a HORECA is highly preferred
• Experience working in an international environment and/or an international organization is a strong asset
• Professional certification is a plus (ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
• Strong analytical, decision-making, leadership, negotiation and communication skills
• Attention to detail, ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing financial reports
• Ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education / Experience:

• BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• 5+ years of relevant working experiences desired
• Fluent in Azerbaijani, Russian and English (written and verbal)
