Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) is Azerbaijan’s national tourism organization. Our core tasks include the management of the "Holiday in Azerbaijan" brand, innovative marketing in the most internationally promising markets and the transfer of our knowledge of guests and markets to the domestic tourism industry. In this way we make an important contribution to the competitiveness of the holiday destination Azerbaijan.

The ideal candidate has a passion for work on both research/analytical initiatives as well as on the product design to create a cohesive and be spoke tourism product.

Brief:

We are looking for an experienced Product Development Specialist who will be responsible for coordinating product development operations and facilitating development strategies on behalf of the organization. He/She is responsible for any coordination requirements of product development including researching on market trends, liaising with cross functional departments on requirements and collecting data and feedback from stakeholders.

Duties:

• Analyze and assess proposed new products and services
• Design new routes, itineraries, tours and experiences (further called product) as per the approved project plans
• Research and market analyze for tourism products trends and competitor destination analyses
• Be in constant communication with industry partners and Destination Management Organizations (or TIC’s) to get understanding of product gaps based on their experiences with tourists
• Prepare itineraries as per request forms
• Research on possible stakeholders needs to enhance level of products and experiences to national and international levels
• Regulate and increase tourism experiences and activities, to create good conditions for infrastructure, facilities and services in place, to ensure and increase quality standards of existing tourism products
• Strong coordination establishment between public and private sector for wellbeing and development of existing products
• Provide content for brochures, magazines, website, platforms and others
• To get full knowledge about regions of Azerbaijan, cultural, natural and historical resources available both in regions and in Baku

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism or minimum 2 years’ experience in tourism industry
• Proven working experience as a Product Developer or in a related department
• Be comfortable in content writing
• Work well within a team
• Creative and innovative thinking skills
• Flexible to travel to regions and to other destinations with overnight stays
• Improved result driven skills
• Competitive research and analyze skillls
• Project Management skills
• Strategy implementation capability
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and relevant department needs level
• Strong Time Management skills
• Ability to create structured and organized project documents, user manuals and reports
• Broad Experience on preparing Tender documentations (RFP, RFI)
• Excellent Azeri, English verbal communication and written skills (Russian is an asset)

Thematic Product Development Specialist works on a regular work-week from Mondays to Fridays, but occasionally has to work over weekends and/or public holidays, or in tourism events if required.
