Job Title: Rotating Equipment QA/QC Inspector, QAE
Job Summary/Role description
Static/Rotating Equipment QA/QC Inspector (QAE) checks and guarantees that certificates are prepared and duly collected; moreover, QAE promotes any necessary action to ensure that the final dossier is ready and completed as per contract requirements. Duties and responsibilities • Checks mechanical static and rotating material in accordance with drawing and specification; • Conducts inspection for all mechanical static and rotating equipment; • Conducts inspection for base plates prior to installation or erection of equipment; • Leveling of pumps and motor or elevation of flanges inspection before to proceed for other activities as per Inspection and Test Plan; • Conducts sump pit inspection activities for motor and pump installation; • Checks and signs all related field inspection checklists by Sub-Constructors prior to all activities; • Conducts inspection on mechanical equipment; • Reviews preparation of inspection and test plan (ITP) and checklist for a site inspection; • Monitors quality controls for each definable area/ section of work as per PQP, Method of Statement, ITP and Specification; • Checks for correct orientation and leveling of the equipment; • Checks pre and final shaft alignment of the motor, pump, and turbine; • Checks all holding bolt torque value for all static equipment and rotating equipment installation; • Checks pipe stress prior to final alignment on the centrifugal pump; • Checks and inspects the alignment, elevation levelness of the installed static and rotating equipment and ensure the deficiencies are within acceptable limit; • Checks solo run activities for motor and couple run activities for a pump; • Monitors the correct drafting of certification documents and check that they are duly issued and filed; • Co-ordinates the treatment of both supplies and construction non-conformities and supervises their resolution; • Identifies any lack or incongruence in the certification of works and supplies, arranges any corrective action with the Supervisors and Material Controller; • Prepares and updates Site Quality Indices; • Co-ordinates the preparation of the certification dossier according to the established Quality criteria. Knowledge & Qualifications
• University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent Experience
• Relevant experience in construction/modernisation of oil & gas /industrial sector/ EPC projects large refinery plants; • At least 3 years of experience in the specific discipline; • Similar role covered in last three projects, of comparable size; • Experience working on the Contractor side.
