Reports to: Regional Manufacturing & Logistics Manager/ Board of Directors

1. ROLE STATEMENT

The role is responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including: production, quality control, maintenance, and delivery. Responsibilities also include training personnel, ensuring plant & facility up-keep and improvements. Work closely with the production team to increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operation. This person must be trained and have at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing environment.

2. Job Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the PPP facility.
• Work closely with Quality personnel of PPP, review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.
• Review established production schedules with Petrochem’s manufacturing team to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
• Product costing and service costing
• Research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
• Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety and Sustainability Resource to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of QHSES policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees.
• Maintain Inventory levels and control flow of product
• Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.
• Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals.
• Communicate with research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies.
• Work with purchasing manager to develop and improve supplier relationships.
• Ensure that PPP and CX policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
• Directly supervise necessary governmental regulations, import licenses, methanol licenses are done timely
• Laydown targets and report OGSM data correctly and timely
• Ensure BP’s and other customer requirements from CX are duly being adhered
• Coordinate and liaise with Sales team of CX and other audits (ECAP etc)
• Lead Product manufacturing localisation work
• Coordinate ISO certification related works
• Service providers contract management
• Lead Compliance initiatives- Training, intermediaries and sub contractor compliance, reporting

3. Job Requirements

• Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
• Experience in implementing best practices using continuous improvement/lean tools
• Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.
• Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering.
• Planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs.
• Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.
• Highly motivated, results oriented, driven.

5. WORKING RELATIONSHIP AND TEAM WORKING

• Locally with sales and manufacturing team and all staff
• With 3rd Party suppliers as required
• With Customers in follow-up of non-conformances / as required
• With CX staff in Baku, Russia-Caspian and Globally
• With the Board and Shareholders of the JV

6. EDUCATION & EXPIRIENCE

• Post Graduate/Graduate in related field (Chemistry) with good knowledge on computer skills
• Minimum 10 years work experience of which at least 1 year in chemical blend plants shall be preferred

7. PLANT DETAILS

• Plant capacity: 24000 MTPA
• Total plant headcounts: 18 (staff & operators)
• Annual Budgeted Plant Expenses: US $ 2.5 MM
