Maintenance Specialist

Location: Onshore Department: Operations
Reporting Line: Operations Manager Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week
An excellent maintenance specialist must be reliable and have a great eye for details. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing etc.

Job responsibilities:

- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
- Supervise maintenance technicians.
- Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
- Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations).
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulation.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
- Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Requirements and Skills:

- A bachelor’s degree in a similar field;
- 3-5 years of experience in oil and gas industry;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills;
- Proven experience as maintenance specialist or similar role;
- Strong technical knowledge of all hydraulic and pneumatic systems (electrical, heating etc.);
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management;
- Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP) are preferred;
