Quality Assurance Specialist

Main Responsibilities:

• Preparing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Ensuring that standards and safety regulations are observed.
• To cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Assist the leadership team to develop, manage and monitor the Quality Management System of the company.
• Monitor and advise on all Quality matters, issues and concerns to ensure Company compliance with statutory requirements, Company and contractual requirements and good industry practice.
• Liaise with Customers and Supply Chain, regarding Quality matters, ensuring their expectations are met.
• Responsible for Company’s QMS processes and procedures to ensure the Company maintains its accreditations
• ISO9001-2015,
• ISO17025-2020,
• Responsible for management of and liaison with Quality auditors to acquire/maintain Company’s accreditations
• Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and assisting implementing improvements
• Manage and monitor emergency procedures, signage, PPE, COSHH control etc.
• Report on Company’s QHSE performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities as/when required.
• Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Conduct QHSE training courses using internal and external resources when required.
• Maintain awareness of evolving industry quality regulations and best practice and how they could be applied to the Company’s operations.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for quality matters.
• Produce further analysis and reports as may be required by the Directors, or HPI management from time to time.
• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
• Offer QHSE consultancy to the Company’s subsidiaries and affiliates when required.

General To carry out any other duties commensurate with this post as directed by the Directors.

Professional Qualities:

• Preference to be given to candidates with Laboratory experience (both Calibration and Testing)
• Proven QA professional experienced in such areas as Electrical (High Voltage), Automation & Process Control in Oil & Gas and Power Engineering industry.
• Excellent and topical knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Strong leadership skills to constantly drive safety and quality improvements.
• A “hands-on” implementer of processes and change
• Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
• Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
• Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
• Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.

Qualifications/Experience:

1. Experienced in managing and implementing Quality Management Systems
2. Quality Assurance qualification from an accredited body or through experience Essential
3. NEBOSH or similar qualification Essential (Desirable)
4. Knowledge of the power, gas and offshore industry Desirable
5. Languages: Azerbaijani, English, Russian
