Position: “Procurement Specialist”

Work Location: Baku, Azerbaijan
Type of Assignment: Contract
Work Schedule: 5 days a week based on 8 hours per day.
Salary: will be agreed depending on experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze the purchase request from the user departments and determine the appropriate method of procurement, Quotation, Tender and Request for Proposal.
• Solicit and help tabulate commercial evaluations from bids.
• Buys materials/services on behalf of the company and its projects, optimizing costs, observing requested time limits and quality standards;
• Communicate frequently with vendors to learn about their products, services, and prices;
• Collaborates in defining vendor list, preparing supplier KPI PQQ and adding or removing selected Suppliers from the approved vendor list;
• Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency;
• Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
• Issues requests for Offers on the basis of requests for procurement , must contain instructions necessary for deciding on an adequate and complete offer: technical specifications, general buying conditions and details, time limit for presentation of offer;
• Follows up potential suppliers during preparation phase of tenders and guarantees necessary secrecy during tendering phase;
• Prepares and conduct negotiations, further checking if detailed technical specifications are guaranteed, also checking whether detailed economical specifications given in the Bidding phase are consistent with those reported in the final contract;
• Follows up any subsequent revisions of the order;
• Ensures the accurate completion of all procurement requests to include the proper documentation of materials and cost expenditures.
• Preparation Supply contracts/modification/termination with obtaining specific contract documents/certificates
• Guarantees that feedback is received on supply quality;
• Issues periodic reports and/or on request on progress of activities.
• Help coordinate activities with operations and bidding team members.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelour or Upper Degree in Economical professions,
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing role is desirable.
• Good PC knowledge, incl. PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Good communication, coordination and organization skills.
• Self-discipline, mature attitudes and behaviors, respect and caring.
• Well organized, proactive and a good communicator.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to safe working practices, policies and legislation.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages intermediate (both verbal and written).
